CHKDSK question

It doesnt,but you can open cmd prompt,in cmd type:CHKDSK C
this is read only,for the utility to run at restart type:CHKDSK C: /F or /
When it runs,you can press the pause button to view info.

If you CHKDSK at boot, it will create an entry in the Event
Viewer>Application under WinLogon for each drive scanned. Double-click for
details.

Hi, thanks for this information. This will be a lot easier to check. I
recently put a 2nd hard drive in my PC and was practicing yesterday with the
Disk Checking just to see if I could run all the tests, on both drives at
startup. Sure enough, it worked. Just makes everything simpler when I can go
back and look at the log files. I just knew they had to be somewhere.
