kurttrail,

I saw this last night on the evening news and immediately thought of
you :-) Your buddy is making his move....

*The visit of President Hu to America*

Mr Hu was all business at the start of his tour. Dinner at Bill
Gates' house in Seattle...

Why visit Gates before Bush?

It could be that Seattle is closer to China than Washington. Or there's a
priorty on who to visit based on importance.

From the article:

"the key issue is a huge trade imbalance which is turning ever more
political. Cheap Chinese exports are flooding the US market and costing
American jobs."

It's costing american jobs because many americans dont want to work.
Ever been an employer? Just try and get americans to work for your
landscaping company, or tree trimming company, or warehouse company, or
your manufacturing company.

Any business in america says the hardest part of staying in business is
finding people who actually work.

Americans are very much spoiled. Now it's time to face the music and
hardcore economic facts.

BTW - Mexicans work. And I'm glad they come here to do so.

Ever work a job like that for very low pay and absolutely no benefits,
while the boss is driving around in his Mercedes off of what he cheats
his workers out of their fair share?

ROFL! Who will actually work for cheapskates.

What? That Europeans get benefits up the wazoo, and nearly three times
as much vacation time?
BTW - Mexicans work. And I'm glad they come here to do so.

You must be one of the cheapskates I mentioned earlier.

Yes. But the pay is not low, at least in my area. The pay is generally
$100 to $125 per day, cash, tax free.
