Chinese Language

I've just installed a Chinese word processing software and
in the course of that, activated the language option for
East Asian languages. However, I find that CD ROMs that I
put in, and even web pages starts appear in Chinese. Is
there anyway to make it such that the default language to
use is English?
 
Is your user locale set to Chinese too? you can check its setting by going
to Control panel->Regional and Language Options->Regional Options, look at
the first drop down box, if you set this to English, it may help you.
