chinese characters

I am in China and I need to write chinese characters. When
I go to MS download I find so much information that it is
impossible to read. I am using Windows 2000. What do I
download to do asian characters?

You have two options:

a) Move out of China

b) Launch Control Panel / Regional Options, then tick the
version of Chinese you prefer. This will allow you to
specify the appropriate keyboard in Control Panel / Keyboard /
Input Locales.
