Dear All,

When I use Windows Media Player 9 or Apple's iTunes 4 to
open a MP3 file I downloaded, say from www.chinamp3.com,
most of the times, I get nonsense characters for song's
name, singer's name, etc. I tried many ways including
everything that's suggested on
http://members.aol.com/ncc1701mkii/. And still it doesn't
work. iTunes has a convert ID3 Tags feature but it only
turns funny charasters into Korean characters eventhough
it's a Chinese song by Chinese singer.

If anyone knows a fix, please post. Thank you.

Can you read Chinese? If you can, then install the Chinese IME from
your XP CD. For instructions and examples on how to do this go here:

Hello,

Which Chinese (Simplified or Traditional) is your default windows setup? I
think those files you downloaded maybe simplified GB? So I guess you have to
turn your default language to simplified.
