Whilst walking outside I saw a HUGE ploom of smoke in the sky... and I've just turned on the news to find this! A chemical blast about 15 miles away - it appears no one has been injured thankfully!

In the incident on 30 January, a leak of methyl chloride from the Distillex plant forced many residents to stay in doors for three hours.

The poisonous gas, which leaked from a tank, was dispersed by strong winds.
Strong winds? ... and where did it blow to? What the hell is this place doing so close to a City?

Its about 2 miles from the center of Newcastle

Luckily the winds are blowing out to sea - best of some bad options! Poor scandinavians!

Competition eh? After a huge bowl of egg curry and eight pints of Guinness I can usually muster up a chemical explosion that if the wind is blowing favourably can travel from Greenwich to Southend:)

Seriously though: Scary stuff
