I'm a bit of a novice with system stuff with my Win2K system...
I was looking at the software requirements for Norton Ghost 9
and it indicates that it requires .NET Framework.

How do I check to see if I have it? If I don't where do I get it?

TIA

Hi,

If the folder C:\Winnt\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705\ exists and
contains more than 10 files, .NET Framework 1.0 is installed.

If the folder C:\Winnt\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\ exists and
contains more than 10 files, .NET Framework 1.1 is installed.

(both versions can be installed at the same time)

..NET Framework 1.1 download locations:

Look in Control Panel, in the Add/Remove Software folder or
in the Administrative Tools folder. If not present, then one
probably has to download it from Microsoft. However, if .NET
is an essential part to an operating application, the vendor
should have provided it as an utility. Since Norton Ghost is
currently an adaptation of DriveImage and its later versions
required .NET, check the Ghost cdrom. If one does not wish to
install .NET, then Acronis TrueImage is a good substitute for
Ghost.
