Hi,

I tried doing a search on this item, but the search just locks up my
browser for some reason.

I'm essentially compiling a master-list of expiration dates on various
certificates for our office. I was wondering what the easiest way is to
have Excel check the expiration dates entered in the cells against the
current date in the computer, highlighting or otherwise marking those
dates that have in fact expired.

Even better, would be a way to have this highlighting occur 30 days
prior to expiration.

Thank you in advance for any help that anybody can offer.

That doesn't seem to work. No matter what date I put, it is
automatically highlighted.

Except, one supplementary question: what is the easiest way to apply the
above to a range or full column of cells?

Aside from the headings and such, I want this basic formula to apply to
all cells; would be nice to do it without having to enter the formula
separately for every single cell.

Thanks.

Select those cells before you go to Conditional Formatting. Make sure the formula you type
refers to the active cell.

You said "all cells", but I doubt that you meant that. All cells don't contain dates, do they?
