checkbox calculation

I would like to have a checkbox perform an if calculation. For instance if a
checkbox is checked then I would like it to look to multiple columns to the
right and if in the next column to the right has a checkbox checked then add
a number that is at the bottom of the column. I am using both control toolbox
checkboxes and forms toolboxes. (i could use one other other if that's what I
need to do)
Im going to checkmark the chkbox in column d, if there is a chkmark in colum
e then add $399. to the total, if there is a chkmark in the checkbox in the
cell to the right (f) then add 399. to that total too. ect. ect.

a b c d e
f g
1st name last name registered paid class 1 class 2
ect ---->
chkbox chkbox
chkbox chkbox

Cost of tuition Total (?) $399.00
$399.00 $279.00

Thanks for looking at this for me.

Check boxes return True/False Values.
You would have to use a IF function to see if the box is checked.
A1 item cost
A2 checkbox linked cell
=IF(A2=TRUE,A1," ") ,- this would go in the box where you have the cost
of the item
Then just have your sub total sum all the cost cells

Hi ACM,

I'm not sure what you mean, so I will rephrase the question.

Column A has a list checkboxes (A4:A23)
Column B has a list of checkboxes (B4:B23)
What I need is to say if there is a checkbox that is checked in B4 then look
to A4 to see if there is another checkbox, if so, then multiply 1 x B26
($125.00)
It needs to count the # of checkboxes that are checked in column B, see if
there is a corresponding checkmark in column A then total column A and
multiply by $125.
I hope that helps.
