When I run check disk on my windows xp pro it finishes all the stages of it
and after it rboots it stays on the screen where it says
Checking file system on C:<
The type of the file system is NTFS<
The volume is clean<
Windows has finished checking the disk.<

Message is displayed and notjing happens, but when I reboot it starts chkdsk
again and hangs at the same message and screen.

Any ideas

Wes

MVP Kelly has this problem and a solution documented on her website. Go to
the following link and scroll down to the chkdsk section.
