I am trying to build a combination chart using two
different sets of data from two worksheets. From the
chart wizard, I see a column - line combination chart. I
do not like this chart type, because the lines look like
trend lines. I would like to build a chart with a column-
column combination. Probably both stacked. So, my chart
will have months on the x-axis, QTY on the y-axis, 3Cities
Stacked as Grouped1 and 3Cities Stacked as Group2. Does
this make sense and does anyone know how to build a user
defined chart like this?

It's not so hard. And don't think you have to stick to the slim
assortment of choices Excel provides. In general you make your chart
with all series of the same type. Then one-by-one, you select the ones
you want to change, pick Chart Type from the Chart menu, and select the
type you want for that series.

But it sounds like you're talking about a stacked-clustered column
chart. Through careful arrangement of the data in your worksheet, you
can make a stacked column chart that looks like a clustered-stacked
column chart.
