Chart Issues in Powerpoint 2002 - HELP

Just wondering if anyone has had any similar problems in
PowerPoint 2002.

Charts from one slide are being replaced with charts from
a different slide within the same presentation after saving
the file. But if double click on the graph the orginal
graph appears.

We are also running into issues where a chart will look
fine on the screen but after you save the file and open
it back up the chart changes to a big red X. But when you
double click on the X the chart appears.

Any help would be appreciated. Does anyone know if this
is a known bug within Office or Powerpoint that Microsoft
has a patch for?

The issue with graphs changing is familiar -- that is, it has indeed been mentioned here before -- but I honestly can't recall if there's a fix for it. Hopefully someone who remembers will pop in soon.
