Chart - how change and save Default settings

While charting data I have to reformat every Legend series font, Data Series weight of line to make them thicker, Axis font and uncheck "cross between categories', Format Plot area none none to eliminate gray backgroud, and Page Setup Footer to add Date and Time. Is there a way to change the Chart DEFAULT settings so I do not have to change them every time??

Turn your chart into a Custom User Defined chart and make it the default
style(or not, depending on your needs).

From Help on "User defined chart"

Click the chart you want to save as a custom chart type.
On the Chart menu, click Chart Type.
On the Custom Types tab, click User-defined.
Click Add.
In the Name box, type a name.
If you want to add a description, type it in the Description box.
Click OK.
