Morning

I have a pie chart that is sitting upon a graphic, however, the chart area
is quite large to ensure that the chart is of appropriate size.
Unfortunately, this means that the border around the chart is obscuring much
of the graphic behind.

Does anyone know how to make the area surrounding the chart transparent?

Thanks
Justin

I'm not sure there is a way to make it transparent if you have your graphic
saved as a picture you can use it as your backround. Just right click outside
of the chart, click on Format chart area, click Fill Effects, then choose the
picture tab. From there you can select any picture saved on your computer as
your backround. Hope this helps.

You can make the chart area transparent: double click, and on the Patterns
tab, choose None for Area. You can also make the pie larger within the chart
area, so the chart area doesn't need to be so large. The pie sits within a
square plot area which is usually not visible but touches the pie at the
top, bottom, and both sides. So click in one of the corners close to the
pie, then stretch the plot area to fill more of the chart area.
