Hello all,

For security reasons we are planning to change our domain
admin password. We have a windows 2000 domain with a
number of DC's and Exchange servers. Anyone have any
experience in this matter that they can give? For
instance, any guidelines we should follow, implications,
or advice?

Thanks in advance.

So long as you haven't got any services running using the domain admin
password, just go right ahead and change it. You should change it
frequently anyway (not just when you think someone else knows it).

If you do have services running under your domain admin account, you really
need to sort that out. It's a very bad thing to do.

While I'm on my soapbox, it's a really bad thing to log into workstations
using a domain admin account. If you're doing that, you have another thing
to add to your "to do" list.

Oli
