So here I am, a Canadian sent to Bulgaria to open a new
office for the company I work for (customer service
related). Our company has bought 6 identical machines from
a local and 6 copies of XP Home (Bulgarian) to go with
them. Only after delivery do I find out that rather than
install XP directly on each machaine the guy we bought
them machines from installed (and updated to SP1) XP on
one and Norton Ghost(ed) the setup to the others.
I have found the page (328874) for changing the XP product
key using the .vbs program but I cannot get it to work
right even following all the instructions on the page.
I really don't want to re-install XP Home on each of these
machines.
Can someone tell me how I should create the .vbs file? My
experience with Virtual Basic is limited and I simply
copied and pasted the example into notepad (wordwrap off)
and saved it as the named .vbs file. When I ran it (using
the new product key) it gave me an "invalid line" error.
Thanks For your time,
Michael
