Changing Values in Drop Down Boxes

I am using Business Contact Manager to track information about a job search.
I would like the option of adding/changing/deleting values in the drop down
boxes. I would also like the option of linking opportunities to more than
one business contact.
 
Was an answer ever given to this? I have the same need. As an example, In
Business to Individual instead of Business to Business sales, the sales cycle
choices need adjustment. I would like to modify the database. but can't find
it.
