Changing UserControl property in the designer

In the designer, when I change the Text property of my UserControl, no code
is generated in order to save the new setting. This means that when it is
closed (saved) and opened again, or when the program is complied and run, it
has changed back to its orignal setting. What am I doing wrong?

Does anyone have any idea? Do I need to clarify the question? Thanks for
