Presently, I have 2 computers networked, both with Windows98SE, have
wireless, DSL. (Will be switching services after new computer purchase)
Need to replace host computer. Will it be OK to go with XP Home or do I need
Pro? Will I have problems with the other computer being Windows 98SE?
I appreciate any help/comments.

Home will be fine. Pro. will give you IIS (web server) and the ability to
be a client of a Domain network. But, home will network with your other pc
just as well.

This web site should help you decide:

Most people only need Pro if they need to connect to a large corporate
network (domain), encrypt files, control the computer using Remote
Desktop. Otherwise, Home is fine.
