Changing the view settings

Thanks in advance. Please only respond once on the board
and with an e-mail to me, so long as you think the answer
is correct.

It's just an annoyance, but how does one go about
changing the file/folder settings so that it always comes
up as details instead of icons, etc?
 
Click the view tab on the top task bar,its checked to
icons now,scroll dows to and click details.
Do you think thats about right!
 
Set the view on a folder or drive to details; on Windows XP click
tools and then folder options, then click the button that says "Apply to all
folders."
