Changing the Sent From Field in outlook 2003

This is probably a very stupid question so please bear with me. I set
up a users logon name to be "bob". So it created an exchange mailbox
for him named "bob". When he sends email the from line simply says
"bob" instead of saying "Bob Smith".

My question is, how do I change the sent from name to say "Bob Smith"
without creating an entirely new account for him?

We use Outlook 2003 and Windows SBS 2003 Standard Edition. By
changing the default email account to a third party SMTP/POP3 server
(at our ISP) the name appears correctly. If I change that to the
default it works fine but as soon as the user logs off and logs back
in it changes the default back to the Exchange server.

Please excuse me if this question belongs in another forum. Thank you
in advance for any and all help.

Thank you.

so the only problem is that I changed it in outlook express, but I use
outlook for my email, and in outlook it doesn't have an option to change but
on win 2000 machines with the same version of outlook it does have an option
to change. weird , huh?? please help mr. tillman.

It's doubtful the version of Windows makes any difference. What type of
account in Outlook is what would make the difference, so maybe the Windows
2000-hosted Outlook is using a non-Exchange account.

I don't know anything about Exchange so, if you have a questions about
changing something in Exchange, it's best if you ask in an Exchange
newsgroup.
