Changing the Default Window View Settings

Whenever I open up a folder, I would like all the files and folders listed in
the "detail" view. I know it is possible to set this using the right click
button, but I want this as a default setting, so I don't have to change
things.

Is this possible?

Yep! set a folder to the display you want, then go to Tools > Folder
Options. Click the view tab, then click "Apply to all folders".
