Hi,

After some problems in booting my xp prof. OS I had problems and errors in
C: and in my desktop and windows setting so I had to reboot in the last known
good booting (by pressing f8 in windows booting) I realised that the system
environment variables had changed from the administrator folder inside
documents and setting folder to the temp folder in the same documents and
setting folder , I tried to change these variables in system properties
advanced , but it doesn't change and not all variables appeared there (like
homepath , appdata,..etc) , it seemed that theOs doesn't know me as the
administrator ( although there is one user in the OS and I login as the
administrator but sometimes it said that this operation must be done only by
the administrator), anyone can help me ??

Is there a way to return the default environment variables and make the OS
log me as the administrator (as it should be because there is one user only
"the administrator")?

I am not sure you can do what you are suggesting but this suggestion
might meet your expectations.

Log on as Administrator in Safe Mode ( F8 key during boot ) and change
the powers of the other User.

Hope this helps.
