changing source files for linked objects

in previous versions, i have been able to highlight all links, change the
source file, and all links would update with information from the new excel
source file. this does not happen in word 2003; the new version will only
allow me to change the source file on one link at a time. is there a way
around this time consuming action? i am changing the source file on about 30
links within the word document.

Hi Renee,

If you press Alt-F9 and use Find/Replace, you can change the paths.
Alternatively, if it's less straight forward, with different links being
updated with different paths, you might want to try my Field Link Updater
