how do I turn an old server to a client on my network?

What type of server? Windows 2003 ??

If you are talking changing a Windows XP which you were using as a 'peer to
peer networking" server, stop the sharing of the files.

I have upgraded to a new computer in my office that I want to use as a server
for my network and use the old server as a client on the network (work
station) All computers on network are XP using a wireless router from my new
computer

I have to change one of my client to server, at least temporaly, while we get
a new server.
We have a small network (server + 3clients).
How can I setup the client as server and server as client??

We need more information to help. Assuming the "Server" is XP, what you need to do is enable file and printer sharing and share the folders you want to access. this how to may help,
