Changing selected text format

Is it possible to change the format (bold, italic) of -just-
particular word in a cell using the find/replace function?
When I do this, the whole cell follows the text format and I just wan
a portion of the cell to be changed.

click on the cell, highlight the word or words you want to format, an

is this always the same word or is there a specific pattern which part
of the cell you want to bold?.
You'll need VBA for this if you have a defined pattern
