Changing Productkeys with SP2

Hi,

could somebody enlighten me on the situation with changing Product-Keys
on Windows XPpro SP2? In several articles on SP2 I have read that it
will be no longer possible to change the Product-Key and activate with
the new key.

However this procedure is even suggested by MS in [1] and the way I use
to install my computers.
All my computers (Dells) have a Windows XPpro OEM-license. Before
starting the computer I enter the machine's Productkey into a database
and then start the setup by booting from network. My automated
deployment (using unattend.txt) then installs the machine using the
generic key TTGHK-3RC33-BT9DR-3BVYV-BTQ98 from [1] and after the first
reboot retrieves the real key from the database I mentioned before.
After that I activate using the vbs-code also given in [1]. Can I use
this method after slipstreaming SP2 into my installation?

Thanks a lot,

Uli

One can change the Product Key in the same manner with SP2 installed.
