I'm trying to set up permissions for a printer: I select the printer, <CTRL> and then right-click. The SECURITY tab does not appear though
I'm doing this from an Admin. account - XP Home, SP

What am I doing wrong? thanks for your help

To display the Security tab:

1. Open Folder Options in Control Panel.
2. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
3. Double-click Folder Options
4. On the View tab, under Advanced settings, clear Use simple file sharing [Recommended].

(above documented in Windows XP's "Help and Support Center")

All i can tell you is that PC WORLD magazine says the sp-1 has just as many vulnarabilities as the original xp editon they say theres a new service patch sp-2 coming out around july sometime which will fix these secutity issues .Hope this helps!

"Use simple file sharing" is not on the "Advanced settings" list of the folder options. I'm using XP Home -- not Pro. Is it because of that

thanks -Nathan
