I have my handout master set to include a page number, which it is doing
fine. Problem is, I will insert an pages in a resulting PDF and need to
override the starting page number on the following handout page -- similar to
Word's ability to set page number per section

Is there any way to manipulate "page number" like this -- in the footer of a
PPT handout view?
thanks in advance

Igonore -- solved, to an extent

Used Bill's post from 2.5.2005 on changing starting page number
Downloaded the Handout Wizard add-in

thanks Bill

Have you considered leaving the page numbers out then adding them in the final
PDF document? In Acrobat 6, have a look at Document, Add Headers and Footers,
for example.

NO I did not! Thanks so much -- even though I am on v7, I did not realize
that feature was there -- and has header/footer per named ranges! This is
such a good tip, thanks again.

Cool! Glad it works for you.
