I brought an Outlook .pst archive file home but cannot open it becuase it
says I don't have permission. I assume this is becasue the name of the
account from work (on an Exchange Server) doesn't match with that of my Home
Outlook account. How do I get around this proble? I no longer have access
to my work account.

You should be able to transfer a .PST file from work to home without any problem. Are you are trying to have Outlook open the file directly from a CD? If so, your problem is that it is set to
read-only on the CD, you will need to first copy the .PST file to your hard drive. tight-click on the file and turn off the read-only attribute. If this fails, it is possible that the .PST file is simply
corrupt.

Scott,

Before you replied, I did a web search and found the same problem with the
same suggestion as yours (My data was on a CD as you guessed). I tried it
and it worked perfectly! Thanks for getting back to me & have a great day!
