I downloaded an expense spreadsheet and it shows the charges as positive and
I need to change these numbers to negative. There are up to 150 numbers in a
column so it would be great to highlight the entire column and change + to -
and - to + where appropriate. I am using Microsoft Office 2000 on this
computer. All help would be appreciated.

In an empty cell, enter the number -1
Edit>Copy
Select your numbers to be corrected
Edit>Paste Special, check Multiply

In an empty cell enter the value -1 (negative one)
Copy that cell
Select the range of numbers to be changed; use Edit | Paste Special with
Multiply checked in the box
Now you can delete the cell with -1
best wishes
