My computer hangs and I've run repair etc. I want to
remove Windows XP, take out the old hard dirve and insert
a new one so I can start from scratch with a clean
registry etc. What do I have to do in order to re-
install Windows XP and still be able to register my copy
without any problems.

Thanks,

Michael

just reinstall, no need to replace the HD unless its busted. Reactivate it,

Michael,

Once you clean install your OS to either the original hard disk or your new
one. You will be required to activate.
If your last activation was a significant time ago then you can just
activate over the Internet, try this first.
If this fails then you will need to activate via telephone this takes about
4 mins and is usually a toll free call. The wizard will provide you with the
appropriate number for your country.
