I am in the Balkans and my ISP has given me information for one IP
address in order to use their services.

I want to switch to a different computer, using the same information,
and use that computer to access the internet. But when I enter all the
correct info on the different computer and connect the net cable, I
can't connect to the internet. But when I switch back to the orignal
comp on which the info was first set up, it works fine. I have tried
on several different comps and the result is the same.

Any ideas as to why it won't work on any other comp accept the
original? And how I can make it work?

Thanks,

karl

It's possible that your ISP has recorded the MAC address of the
network card in the first computer and will only let that specific
card access the Internet.

Even if that's not the answer, I recommend contacting your ISP for
help with this. They're the ones who know how to use their service.
