I currently have Verizon DSL, I purchased a wireless router, as I try
to install it, it states that it found my old Verizon router and that I
must change its IP address not to interfere with the wireless router.
Tried different combos, currently the IP address is set to
192.168.150.150, also tried 192.168.10.1 in both cases the installer
states that I must change the IP address of the old Verizon router.
What would I change it to, or is there a different way around it,
thanks in advance.

If:

1. Your Verizon router is actually a router and not just a modem; and

2. You are simply trying to provide wireless access to your existing
network; then

3. Configure your wireless router with an IP address which is compatible
with the IP address of the Verizon router (eg. 192.168.1.x) - making sure
that this address does not duplicate any IP addresses on the existing
network; and

4. Disable the DHCP function on the wireless router; and

5. Connect an ethernet cable from a LAN port on the Verizon router to a LAN
port on the wireless router - do not connect anything to the WAN/Internet
port on the wireless router.

In order to configure the router this way you may have to manually set it up
through its web page rather than running installer software.

I interpret your message to mean that the Verison router also contains the
DSL modem.

What you want to do is to connect the new router in series with the Verison
router.

Doesn't the manual for your new router cover how to accomplish this task?
