changing homepage

I need some help. I have a homepage that keeps changing
back to different sites. I go to the control panel, then
to internet settings, and then change the homepage and
click on apply. I will go to my designated homepage for
a while, and then it will go back to these other sites.
There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. I even went
to add/remove programs to see if I could find a place to
change it and make it permanent but I can't.
Plllleeeeeaaaaassssseeeee help!

Maybe you have a virus or spyware has hijacked IE.
