My desktop computer runs Red Hat Linux and for various reasons I wish to
change to Windows XP Home edition. Booting to the Windows CD-ROM does not
work, I have set the drive as the first to be accessed during boot up and
the system tries to read from it, but appears to find no boot system files.
I thought this might happen.
I tried to create a boot floppy on my laptop (Windows XP already installed).
I can format a floppy from a DOS prompt but cannot add system files with the
old DOS command - format a: /sys (if my memory serves me). Typing - help
format - lists the various switches but does not include one for creating a
ssytem diskette.
Any ideas?
TIA
