Changing Font Format from Slide Master Won't Change the Formating of Some Text

I have pasted some text from a document I have created into PowerPoint.
The text follows the format from the document I copied from. But when I try
going to Slide Master to change the font format, the pasted text does not
change. I know that this is a build in feature of PowerPoint and that
whenever a user manually format some text, this format will override the
format from Slide Master.

Is there a way to reset it so that the text will follow format from the slide
master?

Thanks...

If your text is in a slide placeholder, you may have to reapply the slide
layout twice to get the new formatting to override your manual formatting.

If the text is in a regular textbox, though, it will not pick up the
formatting from the slide layout -- you'll have to manually format one
textbox and then use Format Painter or the eyedropper tools to apply the
formatting to the other textboxes in the presentation.
