O

old guy

Not sure how to attack this problem so someone will understand.
Outlook 2002 / WinXP
Currently, when I open Outlook, I can see two folders on the extreme
left (folder list?) - one I will call husband, the other wife.pst. When
I right-click on 'wife.pst' one option is 'Close wife.pst.' When I
right-click on husband one option is 'Close Outlook today' but it is
grayed out.
What I would like to do (I think) is swap folders - that is, my wife's
file is attached to Outlook Today and mine is not.
Actually, my gosl is a little involved. Just bought my wife a
Windows-based PDA that syncs with Outlook 2002. However, when it syncs,
it syncs to 'husband' (Outlook Today) amd not to hers. Tech support
says the PDA syncs to the first folder it sees - mine. My goal is to
get my wife's to be the default? folder. Guidance please.

What you need to do is change the default delivery location to be your
wife's .pst file. Here are the steps to do that.
Use the following steps to set the delivery location:
1. On the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts.
2. Click View or change existing e-mail accounts, and then click Next .
3. In the Deliver new mail to the following location box, click to select
the .pst file where you want to send and receive messages.
4. Click Finish .
5. Quit and restart Outlook.

I hope this information is helpful.
