Changing Firefox Doc Icon

Okay, I want to change the icon that Firefox uses for HTML docs. I went
under File Types and there was nothing Firefox related.

I then checked a freware file association program that listed HTM File Type
for Firefox, but there's no provision to change the icon.

I asked in the Firefox forums what to do, and they said just to create a
new file type in Windows. But I don't want to do that when I know one
already exists...it's just hidden in Windows.

Suggestions?

Oh and why did installing Firefox remove the Microsoft HTML Document
filetype that I use for Mozilla? I had a bunch of entries under the
context menu for HTML docs, and they went away when I made Firefox my
default browser. I'm majorly annoyed since I still use Mozilla for some
stuff.

Control Panel>Folder Options>File Types

Click on the file type you want to change. Click on Advanced, and you
will see an option to change the icon.

Thanks Steve, I'll save that page...a lot of good tips.

What I ended up doing is changing the icon in the registry. The Firefox
forums showed me which key to use.

Really strange though that the filetype doesn't show up on the standard
Filetypes panel. Nobody could explain why that's the case.

And I still don't know why my Mozilla filetype disappeared when I installed
Firefox.

Firefox is great, but it still has some issues...
