You open the file, then go to the File menu and select Save As from the drop
down list, then select .doc from the file types drop down list in the save
as dialogue box. NOTE: depending upon the application in which your Resume
was created, .doc file type may not be available. In other words, if you
created it in a special resume creation application, it may be proprietary
and not offer that file type in which case you might have to type it up in
MS Word and save it as a doc file there.
