How do i change my settings so all my emails go to outlook express instead of
windows mail?? Also how can i copy all my contacts in one hit to outlook?? I
have vista basic if that helps!! thanks

Vista doesnt have outlook express
Assuming you are using Outlook (A completely different app to outlook
express)
Once outlook is set up/configured in Mail you export your msgs and in
Outlook you import your contacts/addresses.
Since I only use outlook & dont have mail configured you may have to within
Mail export your contacts to a csv file, then import that in Outlook

To stop Mail receiving remove the accounts or stop using it

Outlook Express can't be installed on Vista.
Windows Mail is it's replacement.

To get your contacts from Windows Mail to Outlook,
in WM, File - Export - Contacts - CSV
in Outlook, File - File Import and Export - Import from another program or
file - Comma Separated Values (windows)

Normally, POP3 mail goes to whatever program first asks to download it. You
can tell many programs to leave a copy on the server for another program of
computer to get. The following instructions work for Windows Mail and
Outlook Express:

Click Tools | Accounts.
Select the Mail account.
Clock Properties.
Select the Advanced tab.
Check the box to leave a copy on the server and the two boxes below it.
