changing default page

Recently instead of Google coming up as my homepage I'm
getting a page called Search Everything. Under tools and
internet options I am able to change the default page to
Google only temporarily. Each time I restart the computer
it's back to the other page. What can I do?

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
