Changing colors -other- than the window border

So, I've changed my window borders to "Graphite", and they look quite nice.
Now, how do I go about changing everything else (it's all blue...) to
something that looks better with the graphite borders?

Of course, I started in the "Appearance Settings" window, under "Advanced",
and messed around with all sorts of things there, none of which can get rid
of this blue color.

Specifically, I'm talking about the blueish tabs in IE, the blue menus in
explorer windows, the huge chunk of blue above the page in FireFox. Any help?

right click on desktop> personalization> themes > select the vista aero one
and everything will revert back to the default settings

Right, but I don't want the default settings, I want settings that are LESS
BLUE than the default.

in that same window that you pressed GRAPHITE there is a small round button
that says:

SHOW COLOR MIXER
from there you can further change the colors

That color mixer only affects the window borders, just like the row of
buttons above.

Oh, and sorry for all the replies, apparently timing out -doesn't- mean that
the post didn't go through...

Hello again.. I saw the Pic you posted..

That is part of the Vista Aero theme and you cannot change it unless you
switch the theme.

Microsoft uses what is called MS STYLE files that have all these colors hard
coded into them and you cant change them.

On vista by default you only have a second theme called CLASSIC as the only
other option (it looks like windows98 classic old boring)

The only other way is to change the theme, this can be done safely ONLY with
StartDocks windowblinds, a shareware trial is available
it costs $20, but even then if you only want that color to change and
nothing else it involves editing the vista default theme..

Let me say it simply - Its not easy to change that! lol

A free option was available with a program called VISTAGLAZZ but it doesnt
support Vista SP1 that is just around the corner so Its best to not use that
