Changing CD Rom name

Hi,
Help appreciated guys. I need to rename one of my CD Rom drives not the
letter. I tried to do it by right clicking the drive and rename it, but
that option is not present. Can you explain how I go about renaming it
please

When you rename in the fashion you describe it only renames the volume of
the drive, (i.e. the disk in the drive at the time), so unless you have a
writeable disk in the drive you woun't be able to change the name.

It sounds like you want to change the device description, which you may need
to hack the registry to do. Of course as soon as you put a disk in the drive
it reflect the label of the disk.
