My printer has a card reader for printing directly from a
CF card (digital printer)
Apparently, the BIOS is reading this drive on startup, so
every time I turn on the PC, it prints out garbage and
will do so until I shut the printer off. I need to
change the settings so it doesn't look at that "drive"
when starting up. There is no chance on start up to
hit "F12" or whatever it is like on previous versions of
windows....

Well, I'm not saying this will work for you, but try it
any way. When rebooting hit the F2 or Delete button to
get into the BIOS. It realy depends on your computer man.
and mother board. Try this link to help you decide which
will work for you.

Just becareful what you do in there because I see many
people have to replace boards for updating or changing
settings. sysconfig may also help.

good luck.
