Changing AutoPlay Settings On CD-ROM Drive

For some reason my CD-ROM drive started listing the audio
files on a cd I put into my drive in a folder view
instead of playing it automatically.

How do I adjust these settings?

I'm not really interested in downloading additional
software, I was just wondering how to adjust the settings
through windows.

In My Computer, r-click the drive, Properties, Autoplay page. In the
top drop down select the type of CD (in this case Music CD at the
bottom, rather than Music files for a regular audio CD - Music files for
a collection of mp3s say). Click the 'Select an action to perform',
highlight the one you want (eg play with Media Player) and Apply.


BTW TweakUI is well worth getting for a wide range of little tweaks that
are otherwise tricky - though it is not relevant in your immediate case
