Changing a folder from shared to private.

So, i have a folder that is in my shared documents that i want to erase but
it will not allow me too. i think that this is because it is not private not
sure. it is taking up a lot of space and i need to get rid of it. help would
be greatly appreciated.

Are you the owner of the file? If not, take ownership. Sign on as
administrator, find the file, right click, choose properties, security tab,
advanced, take ownership. Now see if you can delete it.
