Changing a custom toolbar button face to one other than standard set

Hi All,

What I would like to do is :-

1) Create a custom toolbar under program control (can do this!)

2) Assign macros to the custom toolbar buttons(can do this too!)

3) Change the button face(s) to an icon/pic/bitmap of my own creation
NOT one of the standard button faces (CANT do this! - yet). This is now
becomming a real headache!!!. Any help offered will be greatfully
accepted.
