Changes in normal-template not saved

Hi

After several years of Word use, I have a normal.dot which is very specified
to my use with AutoText entries, signatures, buttons etc.

But lately my changes to the normal.dot are not saved anymore.This means
that when I f.ex changes a telephonenumber in my adress-autotext, the old
number appears the next time I start Word.

I think this started after changing PC some months ago.

Can anybody help?
