changes in destination file should update sourse file

I have monthly files that inturn updates into a master file.I would like to
know how to make changes on the Master file this way my source file gets
updated..

Basically montly file to update master..
and
Changes on Master to update the montly..
Please advise
 
If the data ranges are the same, then linking cells should allow you to
update data both ways in these two files.
 
The data ranges are the same...but changing the master file did not change
the individual files...Is there anywere I am going wrong...?
 
Sorry, I misunderstood your original requirement. its not advisable to update
source with an update to destination file, however, if you still want to do
it could you please share the master and a sample monthly file and I can try
to find a way out.
